John Varvatos originally comes from Greek. He first worked with Polo Ralph Lauren. In 1983 and then in 1990 he joined with Calvin Klein. In 1999, he John Varvatos started his own company in the clothing line.
In the 2000, he entered in the fragrance world and launched his first fragrance named John Varvatos Classic. In 2008, Varvatos launched his fragrance for women. In spring 2005, he also launched John Varvatos Skin, his line of skin care products for men. His new 'green' fragrance, called Artisan has also been come out in this spring (2009).
In John Varvatos for Women, aromatic grappa, Georgian apricot, Damascus plum, golden mandarin, rubrum lily, Indian mango blossom, Egyptian jasmine etc are the mainly notes used in it.
