Memorial Day- A day of Honor

Memorial Day is federal holiday of USA, celebrated on last Monday of May every year. We will celebrate this day on 31st May of 2010. This day is celebrated in remembrance of men and women that have given their lives in the service of this country. This was originally known as “Decoration day”. In 1882 some began calling it Memorial Day. After 1971 its name was officially changed. It is the better way to show your patriotic spirit. On that day we must place a candle or flag at the graves of the veterans.

There are many public events held every year to honor our patriots through parades, celebrations, church services, movies, and news to reflect and honor these hero's. We must participate on this honorable day and always keep in mind the quotation of Benjamin Disraeli-

"The legacy of heroes is the memory of a great name and the inheritance of a great example."
